Mission: The Oregon City Farmers’ Market serves as a market place that supports the growth of sustainable agricultural businesses and food security by encouraging the consumption of locally grown fresh food. We support the optimal health and well being of our Oregon City community members by offering natural resource and nutrition education.
SNAP (Oregon Trail) and Debit cards are accepted at every market. We match the SNAP (foodstamp) card with up to $10 of free tokens. Our kids P.O.P. Club (Power of Produce!) gives $2 to each child registered (5-12) to shop for fresh fruits and veggies, food plants. The Market holds regular events throughout the year, including demos and workshops by the OSU Extension Master Gardeners and Master Food Preservers. The Market Kitchen is open every market day and teaches preparation and cooking of local whole market foods. Once a month the Snap To It program helps SNAP card shoppers with meal preparation and shopping on a budget. The Market is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Corp.and any donations to any of our programs are tax-deductible!
The Oregon City Farmers’ Market operates Saturdays year-round in one location, 2051, Kaen Rd, off Beavercreek Rd. . The Summer Season starts the first Saturday in May and runs weekly through October, 9am-2pm. The Winter Season opens in November and runs every other weekend through April, 10am-2pm. Year-round we offer the local community an opportunity to take advantage of locally grown farm-fresh produce, farm eggs, pastured meats, Oregon seafood, cheese, wild foraged products, artisan foods, crafts, wines, spirits, cider, ready-to-eat foods, coffee, smoothies. In addition, we provide a venue for education to promote good nutrition, food preservation, sustainable food-growing and protection of the environment.
